In order to maintain all of our content under one roof, we have moved our blog to our main website domain at http://www.movieroomreviews.com.  This gives us many advantages as well as you.  For us, it allows us to maintain all our website content in one location.  For you, it allows you to follow our movie reviews, giveaways and movie news from one main location.

We ask that if you have been following us on our wordpress blog, please subscribe, bookmark, or add http://www.movieroomreviews.com and/or our blog page, to your save pages or follow us in your preferred format.

Through our website, we offer full reviews of many popular and smaller DVD titles as well as many great DVD giveaways through our contest page.  Our blog will serve as the interactive feature of our site and will contain movie news, press releases from publicists, as well as the opportunity for visitors to comment and share feedback on movies, reviews, news, etc.

A Lobster Tale offers a great catch: Movie Review and DVD Giveaways

Movie Room Reviews, a leading movie reviews site, recently reviewed the August DVD drama movie release A Lobster Tale starring Colm Meaney.  The film tells an inspiring story about a poor lobsterman who finds a rare miracle sea weed and instantly becomes the popular man in town.

When we came across this incredibly moving and inspiring story, we felt the need to share it.  Often we only hear of the scandals and the negative news that comes out of Hollywood and its celebrity crowd.  However, three Hollywood “good guys”, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell give us hope that there is some compassion left in the movie biz.  The three great actors are filling the shoes of the late Heath Ledger in the film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, which was Heath Ledger’s final work in progress upon his death.

When Depp, Law, and Farrell heard that Ledger’s will was not updated before his death to include his 2-year old daugther, Matilda, the three actors got together and decided to give all of their income from the movie to Matilda to help secure her future.  Perhaps someday this wholesome tale will find its own way onto the silver screen in the making of the movie about Heath Ledger’s life.

Movie Review: The Secret starring David Duchovny

Movie reviews leader Movie Room Reviews recently reviewed The Secret, starring David Duchovny, an August 12th DVD release.  The movie is a unique story about a mother and daughter who are both near death after being in a car accident.  When the mother dies, the story gets interesting as the daughter believes she is her mom.  Her mind has transferred into the daughter’s body.  This creates some awkward moments for Duchovny’s character as he feels mentally and emotionally connected to his wife who is speaking to him through his 16-year old daughter’s body.

THE PROMOTION highlights the dog-eat-dog world of middle management at a local grocery store in Chicago.  As a new addition to the neighborhood, two men are jumping on the opportunity to gain a coveted managerial position at the store. Twilight Movie Theatre Release move up to November 21st!

SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT MOVES UP RELEASE DATE

FORTWILIGHT TO NOVEMBER 21, 2008

Los Angeles, CA August 15, 2008 – TWILIGHT, the first film in Summit Entertainment’s thriller romance franchise, has moved up its North American release date to Friday, November 21, 2008. The film, which was previously planned to be released on December, 12, 2008, is taking advantage of an opening in the upcoming fall release calendar. The new release date for TWILIGHT allows the studio to both bring the film to the written-series’ enormous fan base sooner, and to present the film in more theatres prior to the holiday movie-going season where traditionally screen time for any popular film is limited.

“When Warner Bros. decided to move HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE to the summer of 2009, we saw a unique opportunity to slot in our film which has been gaining tremendous awareness and momentum over the past several months,” said Rob Friedman, Co-Chairman and CEO of Summit Entertainment. “We by no means are trying to fill the shoes of the incredible POTTER franchise for 2008, rather we are just looking to bring the fans of Stephenie Meyer’s incredible book series the film as soon possible from a programming perspective.”

Starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the thriller-romance based on Stephenie Meyer’s publishing phenomenon, the film is directed by Catherine Hardwicke from a script by Melissa Rosenberg (STEP UP). Karen Rosenfelt (DEVIL WEARS PRADA), Greg Mooradian and Wyck Godfrey will produce along with Mark Morgan via his Maverick Films banner.

TWILIGHT tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan (Stewart) who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen (Pattinson), a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together…even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires. Their unorthodox romance puts her in physical danger when Edward’s nemesis comes to town and sets his sights on Bella.
