Award-winning Duck stars Philip Baker Hall

Movie Room Reviews, a leading provider of movie reviews, recently had a chance to review a July 22nd DVD release of Duck, a independent film that was a big winner in international film festivals.  From Director and Producer Nic Bettauer, this heartwarming film explores the future of US society if we continue to lose the personal relationships that bond us as humans.  Arthur (Hall) finds a duck and he and the duck see first-hand the 2009 way of life that includes inhumane behavior, lack of ecological concern, and a generally indecent way of life.

Mardi Gras: Made in China wonderful documentary

Movie Room Reviews, a leading provider of movie reviews, had a great opportunity to review a compelling and open-minded documentary, Mardi Gras:  Made in China.  This documentary explores the connection by the sexual revelry and beads that characterize Mardi Gras, and the low pay labor factories in China where the beads are produced.  While the film explores the cultural, political, and societal differences between the US and China, it does not force any particular message on the audience.  Rather, we are allowed to come to our own conclusions.
